Setauket Veterinary Hospital believes in integrative veterinary medicine. From vaccination, conventional Western treatments, to advanced chemotherapy, to ancient acupuncture and Chinese herbal therapies, Setauket Veterinary Hospital strives to take advantage of the best of both eastern and Western worlds. Setauket Veterinary Hospital adopts therapies that produce consistently good results. Dr. Lu and his team believe in a simple concept which is that “the best medicine is the medicine that produces good results!” Setauket Veterinary Hospital is not a laboratory for experiments. We practice what we believe is the best treatment for our patients. We abandon procedures that sound good, but are not able to produce good results.
Integrative veterinary medicine is based on integrative diagnostics. Setauket Veterinary Hospital performs in house blood testing, urine/fecal analysis, ECG monitoring, ultrasound, X-ray and cytology. Partnering with diagnostic labs and referral facilities, Setauket Veterinary Hospital also utilizes in-depth, comprehensive blood testing diagnostic methods including CT Scan and MRI.

Integrative diagnostic also includes methods used in traditional Chinese medicine. Chinese medical theory helps clinicians put all information into a whole body picture. All parts of the body are connected and relevant to each other. Therefore, Setauket Veterinary hospital believes a good diagnosis is based on an integrative view of the whole body. |
