Integrative veterinary medicine is based on integrative diagnostics.  Setauket Veterinary Hospital performs in house blood testing, urine/fecal analysis, ECG monitoring, ultrasound, X-ray and cytology.  Partnering with diagnostic labs and referral facilities, Setauket Veterinary Hospital also utilizes in-depth, comprehensive blood testing diagnostic methods including CT Scan and MRI.

Integrative diagnostic also includes methods used in traditional Chinese medicine.  Chinese medical theory helps clinicians put all information into a whole body picture.  All parts of the body are connected and relevant to each other.  Therefore, Setauket Veterinary hospital believes a good diagnosis is based on an integrative view of the whole body.
